VP for Professional Development
Michele Atkins is the County Director and Family and Consumer Science Agent for the University of Tennessee Extension Office in Henry County. She has worked at the UT Extension Office for 25 years, first serving as the 4-H agent for 15 years and then moving in to the FCS position and county director. Michele received both her Bachelors and Master’s degrees from UT Martin. She occasionally serves as an adjunct professor at UTM, teaching Multicultural Etiquette. She serves on many boards in the community and was awarded the “Person of the Year” in Henry County in 2018. She has been married to Craig Atkins for 25 years and together they have two children, John Thomas- age 15 and Emma Kate- age 13. Michele enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, Crossfit and being outdoors, whether that is gardening or being on KY lake.
Officer duties: Keep full and accurate record of proceedings from all meetings of Executive Board and association, keep accurate record of life members and serve on audit committee.
